Doorway is a free matching service. We help immigrants and non-native-English speakers find English and language programs and connect with welcoming schools and ESL centers. We are not a school, college, or legal service.

When you use Doorway, you stay in control. You compare programs. You choose whether to contact a school or enroll. If you want help finding options, you can use get matched.

This privacy policy explains how we handle the information you share with us while we provide that matching service.

What information we may collect

We try to collect only the information we need to help with your request.

We may collect:
- Your name
- Your phone number or email address
- Your city, state, or ZIP code
- Your language-learning goal, such as general English, online classes, or citizenship test prep
- Basic preferences, like schedule, in-person or online format, and budget range
- Messages you send us through forms, email, phone, or text

We may also collect limited technical information when you use our website, such as:
- Device or browser type
- IP address
- Pages visited
- General location based on IP
- Cookies or similar tools used to keep the site working and understand site traffic

We do not ask for financial account numbers, Social Security numbers, full immigration files, or other sensitive records to use our matching service. Please do not send those items through our forms.

We use your information to run and improve the service.

1. To respond to you. We may contact you by phone, email, or text if you ask for help.
2. To match you with schools or programs. We may share your request and contact details with participating schools or ESL centers that may fit your goals.
3. To support the website. We may use technical data to fix problems, prevent abuse, and understand which pages are helpful, such as ESL classes or online classes.
4. To send helpful service messages. For example, we may send a follow-up if you started a form and asked to hear from us.

We do not use your information to promise any result. We cannot promise admission, fluency, test scores, citizenship, a visa, or any immigration outcome. We also do not provide immigration legal advice.

Who we share information with

We share information carefully and only when it helps provide the service.

• Participating schools or ESL centers: If you ask to be matched, we may share your contact details and learning goals so they can contact you.
• Service providers: We may use trusted companies to host the website, manage forms, send messages, or measure traffic.
• Legal or safety reasons: We may disclose information if required by law or if needed to protect people, the site, or our rights.

Participating schools pay Doorway a flat fee to take part in the service. Matching is free to students.

Your choices and how to contact us

You have choices about your information.

• You can choose not to submit a form.
• You can ask us to stop contacting you by email, phone, or text.
• You can ask what information you have shared with us and request that we update or delete it, subject to legal or operational limits.

If you contact us with a question, please share only the basics we need to help: your goal and your contact information. Do not send sensitive documents.
